City Introduction

Located on the southeastern coast of the Shandong Peninsula, bordering the Yellow Sea, Qingdao, also known as "Island City", is an important national coastal tourist city and port city. It integrates Chinese landscapes with European customs, with the Eight Great Passes lined with international-style buildings and a coastline stretching for hundreds of kilometers. Qingdao has a mild and humid climate with distinct four seasons, famous nationwide for its unique red tiles and green trees landscape. It was also the venue for the sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, earning the reputation of "Sailing Capital of China".

In modern times, Qingdao was influenced by German and Japanese cultures, leaving a large number of European-style castles and church buildings. The urban style blending Chinese and Western cultures has become a unique calling card. Meanwhile, Qingdao has strong industrial and marine scientific research capabilities, supported by Ocean University of China and port trade.
